Atlantic City Regions – Towards 2040

The National Planning Framework makes a strong commitment to a future of balanced regional development, setting very ambitious population growth targets for the regions over the next 20 years. The report highlights the importance of the four Atlantic Cities - Galway, Limerick, Cork and Waterford - in achieving these targets and in energising their catchment regions. It recommends the prioritisation of key infrastructure projects and the actions required, while also ensuring that Ireland can meet its international climate change obligations for 2030 and 2050.
