On 27th March 2023 a visit was arranged for the Academy to the new National Children’s Hospital (NCH) under construction by BAM. The visit was guided by Deirdre Coakley NCH visits Manager and was joined by Phelim Devine BAM NCH Project Manager who has been managing the project since the start.
On the visit were President Tom Leahy, Peter Langford, John Martin, Terry Nolan, John Donohoe (O’Flynn Construction) and Theo Cullinane BAM CEO (Retired). This afforded a unique insight into the scale, complexity and fine detail of this mega construction project, which is planned to open in 2024.
