The 28th Annual General Meeting(AGM) and Fellows Lunch took place on 14th May 2026. A detailed 45 page Annual Report was published and circulated to all Academy members before the AGM.
David Dumigan Hon. Sec., Sean Finlay President, Tom Leahy Special Advisor
The Officers, David Dumigan, Sean Finlay and Tom Leahy briefed the AGM on the work of the Academy.
The Hon. Sec. David Dumigan opened the AGM and this was followed by The President Sean Finlay chairing the AGM and the Special Advisor Tom Leahy briefing the AGM on the work during the last year.
The President proposed the election of the following Officers/Directors, which was approved by the AGM:
- Sean Finlay President
- Seamus McKeague Immediate Past President
- David Dumigan Honorary Secretary
- Jim Browne Honorary Treasurer
- Tom Leahy Special Advisor
- Anne-Marie Conibear President-elect
In addition, the President then proposed the election of the following Council Members in addition to the above Officers/Directors, which was also approved by the AGM. The Chairs of the 4 Academy Regions now sit on Council to improve the two way communications:
- Eileen Harkin Jones
- Brendan Murphy
- Patrick Lynch
- Martin Hogan
- Jonathan Hegan
- Padraic O’Donoghue
- Dervilla Mitchell
This was followed by the Annual Fellows Lunch and a special presentation was made to our Administrator Fiona McCarron who retires on 5th June 2026 after 14 years of service to the Academy.
