Review of Academy 5-year strategy (2021-2026)
Completed and revised scorecard adopted by Council 24th October 2024

One of the strategy activities was to communicate our achievements regularly with members, patrons and supporters.
To this end 15 News bulletins were prepared from June 2024 to date by Tom Leahy – Past President & Special Advisor and issued to Fellows and Patrons to address this element of the strategy.
Joint working with UK Royal Academy of Engineering(RAE)
Arising from the 6 – year memorandum of Understanding(MoU) signed in May 2022 by the Presidents of RAE and IAE two joint projects are underway
Note the two detailed news bulletins issued:
- 29th July 2024 – IAE/RAE MoU – Transform your innovation into a successful startup with Enterprise Fellowships – Applications for RAE Enterprise Fellowships valued at £70,000 are open in 2024 to applicants from Ireland
- 14th August 2024 – IAE/RAE MoU update – Engineering Economy and Place (EEP) Ireland Project – This follows on from a 2023 RAE study and publication showing how engineering contributes to the UK economy t a very detailed local level. With funding from Inter Trade Ireland(ITI) the same methodology is applied to ROI. This will be published in 2025 and for the very first time will show the detailed contribution of engineering on the island of Ireland.

News bulletin – 23rd September 2024 – Euro CASE conference 2024 held in Budapest and attended by IAE who are a member of Euro- Case
IAE represented on the Euro-CASE 3- person Finance committee.
CAETS – International Council of 33 Academies of Engineering and Technology
News Bulletin – 2-3 July 2024 – CAETS conference 2024 held in Helsinki and attended by IAE who are a member of CAETS
CAETS Sequel Project International Working group – Ireland chair a chapter dealing with Buildings and SMART cities – This major report is due for publication in 2025
